Verona structure purchased by worship center

The Masjid Ebadur Rahman Islamic Center has recently purchased a 10,000-square-foot structure in Verona, according to Sheldon Gross Realty.

The .59-acre lot located at 56 Grove Ave. features a parking lot, sanctuary, a library, three classrooms and a section for offices. It is within close access to routes 23 and 280 and the Garden State Parkway.

“In a lot of ways, 56 Grove Avenue is the ideal location for a center of worship,” Eric Weston, vice president at Sheldon Gross who managed the transaction, said. “It’s easily accessible from several of northern New Jersey’s major roadways, yet it’s in an extremely tranquil setting. You can’t get much more peaceful than a corner lot, surrounded by greenery.”

Prior to its acquisition, the property was being used as a temple, Sheldon Gross said.

Financial terms were not disclosed.
