Burlington Stores to open at the Somerville Circle Shopping Center in Raritan

Off-price retailer Burlington Stores is planning to open a new, 46,000-square-foot location at the Somerville Circle Shopping Center in the spring of 2020, according to Levin Management Corp., the leasing and managing agent for the 150,000-square-foot shopping center in Raritan.

LMC’s Vanessa Fernandez-Kelty, senior leasing representative, arranged the lease CNS Real Estate’s Clifford Simon and David Rosen represented the tenant.

“Off price retailers are thriving in the current marketplace, and Burlington – which is aggressively expanding its footprint – is no exception,” Fernandez-Kelty.

Burlington, LMC said, will occupy a free-standing building formerly occupied by a Toys ‘R’ Us.

“Burlington is a terrific anchor addition for this property, which is an established ‘one-stop’ shopping destination for regional consumers,” Fernandez-Kelty said. “This is a great example of our efforts not just to fill space, but to fill space with the right tenant – one that complements its co-tenancy and adds to a property’s dynamic.”

The center, LMC said, almost hit full occupancy with the new lease. Just one, 3,000-square-foot space is remaining. It is located at 300 Route 202 at the intersection of routes 202/206 and Route 28.

Burlington has approximately 690 stores throughout 45 states and Puerto Rico.
