C&W: Bridal salon lease brings Shops at Liberty Plaza to full occupancy

Brides By Young will join Starbucks as a co-tenant at the Shops at Liberty Plaza in Rochelle Park, according to Cushman & Wakefield, bringing the newly-constructed property to full occupancy.

The commercial real estate services firm said its leasing team based in New Jersey, headed by David Townes and Alana Friedman, represented the landlord, Alesso Holding Co., in the 5,650-square-foot lease at 162 State Route 17.

This is the salon’s third bridal boutique and its first in New Jersey, it said. The brand is distinguished for its “curvy” bridal offerings, including more than 400 sample dresses ranging in size from 14 to 34 at each store.

Patrick Varelas from RE/MAX Traditions Real Estate served as the tenant broker.

“Our team produced multiple offers on this property – both for full occupancy and subdivisions of the remaining vacancy,” Townes said. “Shops at Liberty Plaza checks every box. It offers brand-new construction with attractive modern storefronts, direct access from Route 17 and the benefit of a daily traffic count exceeding 121,000 vehicles.”

Route 17, where the salon will be located, is a corridor Friedman said is sought after by specialty retailers.

“This market is highly sought after due to its long-standing status as a major regional retail hub, with record-breaking sales numbers, traffic counts and outstanding accessibility,” she said. “As brokers, we recognize a need for specialty offerings more and more, and understand the great demand for quality within the Greater Bergen County market. This new tenant is a great fit for the marketplace.”
