Magee Rehabilitation, a member of Jefferson Health, announced Monday it has added an outpatient rehabilitation center at Jefferson Cherry Hill Hospital.
The new center, which will be called Magee Rehabilitation – Cherry Hill, will expand on the patient population receiving rehabilitation care and enhance the hospital’s existing physical medicine and rehabilitation services. Services offered include physical, occupational and speech therapies as well as specialized programs.
Conditions treated include: Spinal cord injury; brain injury; stroke; Parkinson’s disease; Multiple Sclerosis; Guillain-Barré Syndrome; orthopedic/musculoskeletal injuries; back and neck pain; sprains and strains; deconditioning and balance; vestibular dysfunction; amputation; and lymphedema.
“We’re excited to work collaboratively with Magee to bring a new level of expertise to the communities we serve in southern New Jersey,” Brian Duffy, New Jersey director of rehabilitation, Jefferson Health, said. “New equipment will offer patients who have spinal cord injury or more complex neurologic conditions, a place for outpatient rehabilitation, closer to home.”
Samantha Adams was named to oversee all operations at the center, it said.
“This is Magee’s first facility in New Jersey, and we’re thrilled to work hand-in-hand with our Jefferson Health partners to expand rehabilitation services for patients in the Cherry Hill area,” Adams said.
