Schlesinger Group, an international data collection and research services company based in Iselin, announced Friday it has acquired Focus Pointe Global, a qualitative data collection provider based in Philadelphia.
The acquisition, Schlesinger said, will create a comprehensive data collection and research services provider in key U.S. markets.

For Schlesinger clients, the deal opens up new markets in Kansas City, Columbus and Minneapolis, and for Focus Point clients, additional markets include Houston, Baltimore and Orlando along with eight cities in Europe. Also, all FPG employees will join Schlesinger.

Financial terms were not disclosed.
