Thrift store 2nd Ave Value opens in Union

2nd Ave Value Stores, a thrift chain, announced Thursday it recently celebrated the grand opening of a new store in Union.

The 40,000-square-foot store will be located within the Union Shopping Center, located at 2661 Morris Ave., which is exclusively managed and leased by commercial real estate services firm Levin Management Corp.

“2nd Ave provides a unique and immersive shopping experience unlike other thrift stores, meeting the wants and needs of customers ranging from value hunters and collectors to resellers and DIY-ers,” 2nd Ave Value Stores CEO Tony Peressini said.

The store will open at 9 a.m, daily and close at 10 p.m. on Sunday, Monday and Thursday and at 9 p.m. the other days.

Situated at the intersection of Morris and Liberty avenues, the center is located within close access to the Garden State Parkway, Interstate 78 and Route 22.

Financial terms were not disclosed.
