N.J. American Water announces Chester infrastructure project

New Jersey American Water is continuing its infrastructure investments in the state, it announced recently, planning water main replacement work in Chester.

The Camden-based utility said it would invest $250,000 in the project, which will install about 750 feet of water main and replace two service lines, including replacing about 100 feet of 1950s-era infrastructure with the new pipeline.

Vollers Co. will perform the work along Fairmount Avenue from Seward Place to Aspen Drive in the borough, starting (on or around) Monday and working Monday to Friday for about two weeks, weather permitting.

The project is part of New Jersey American Water’s multimillion-dollar infrastructure initiative.
