Pupcakes and Pawstries celebrates relocation to Bridgewater

Pupcakes and Pawstries Bakery and Shoppe, a locally-owned pet store, has celebrated its relocation to a 2,500-square-foot spot at the Somerset Shopping Center in Bridgewater, it announced on Monday.

The store, which was in operations for six years in Basking Ridge, offers a range of baked goods for dogs made using organic and locally-sourced ingredients whenever possible, it said. It also a selection of food, treats, leashes, collars, toys and grooming supplies.

“We really have everything here a pet owner needs for life with their canine companion,” Paul Puglisi, co-owner of the store with his wife, Belinda, said. “Our new store at Somerset Shopping Center is larger and more centrally located. It will allow us to better serve our loyal existing customers while introducing Pupcakes and Pawstries to new patrons in the Bridgewater area and beyond.”

The 219,000-square-foot shopping center is exclusively leased and managed by North Plainfield-based Levin Management Corp. Vanessa Fernandez-Kelty, a senior leasing representative at LMC, arranged the lease. Financial terms were not disclosed.

“‘Mom and Pop’ businesses like Pupcakes and Pawstries bring tremendous value to shopping centers and to the communities they serve,” Fernandez-Kelty said. “With its distinctive branding, quality products and personal customer service, this new tenant is a great addition to Somerset Shopping Center. We are excited to be part of the store’s continued success.”

The property is located at the junction of Route 202/206 and Route 28.
