NKF brokers two leases at Edison office property

Newmark Knight Frank has arranged a pair of leases in Edison for property owner American Equity Partners, it announced Wednesday.

The real estate services firm said in a news release that Crown Castle USA Inc. leased 15,000 square feet and Choice Home Warranty leased 36,000 square feet at Lincoln Place, at 250,000-square-foot building at 2147 Route 27.

The property has only two spaces remaining, totaling 10% of the square footage, NKF noted.

Jamie Drummond, senior managing director, and Andrew Perotti and Dan Reider, associate directors, exclusively represent the landlord in the leasing and marketing of Lincoln Place.

“Conveniently located near (Interstate) 287, Lincoln Place is a building designed for comfort and located for ease,” Drummond said in a prepared statement. “American Equity Partners saw the potential to convert the property into a true Class A asset.”

American Equity Partners recently completed a multimillion-dollar modernization and improvement program at the property.

“They have a strong track record of reinventing older buildings with stylish updates that complement a full suite of amenities, and we knew this would be a tremendous opportunity for today’s tenants,” Drummond said.

In the lease transactions, Tim Kuhn of Colliers International represented Crown Castle, while David Zimmel of Zimmel Associates represented Choice Home.
