Community Medical Center inks Neblett as chief medical officer

Community Medical Center, a Toms River-based RWJBarnabas Health facility, announced on Thursday it has named Meika Neblett as chief medical officer.

Neblett will be responsible for overseeing all physician activities. She will be the liaison between the medical staff and hospital administration, and be tasked with maintaining the center’s clinical quality.

“Community Medical Center is excited to welcome Dr. Neblett and to benefit from the wealth of experience she brings to her new role here. We look forward to working with Dr Neblett as she develops and implements physician strategies that support our organizational mission of providing quality care to those we serve,” Community Medical Center CEO Patrick Ahearn said.

Prior to CMC, Neblett was the chief medical officer and chief quality officer at CarePoint Health‘s Hoboken University Medical Center.

“Dr. Neblett is well versed in understanding the complexities of the changing healthcare environment. She possesses a deep-rooted knowledge of best practices and delivery of quality care. I look forward to working with Dr. Neblett, the Medical Staff leadership and the CMC staff as we continue our journey to become a high reliability organization and a teaching hospital,” Ahearn said.
