Scarinci Hollenbeck names new leaders for several practice areas

Scarinci Hollenbeck, the Lyndhurst-based law firm, has made a number of leadership changes in a trio of practice groups, it announced Monday.

Scarinci Hollenbeck, which promoted a new hiring partner recently, has picked new leaders or co-leaders for its Commercial Real Estate; Corporate Transactions & Business Law; and Tax, Trusts & Estates practice groups.

Stephanie D. Edelstein, a counsel with the firm, has been named co-chair of the Commercial Real Estate section, alongside Partner Donald M. Pepe. Edelstein, who has been with the practice group since joining the firm in November 2018, has more than a decade of experience in transactional real estate matters.

Jeffrey K. Cassin, also of counsel, has been named co-chair of the Corporate Transactions & Business Law section, joining Partner Fred D. Zemel. Cassin, who has been with the firm since November 2016, focuses on mergers and acquisitions, business transactions, and corporate governance and securities law.

Finally, Jeffrey R. Pittard, of counsel, has been named chair of the Tax, Trusts & Estates section. He has been part of the group since joining the firm in November 2016, and focuses on representing taxpayers in audit, assessment and collection disputes with federal and state authorities.

The moves are effective Jan. 1.
