The College of New Jersey has named a new dean for its School of Business, it announced Friday.
Kathryn J. Jervis, the director of the Graduate Healthcare Management Program and a professor of accounting at the University of Rhode Island, will join the Ewing school July 1, it said in a news release.
“My attraction to TCNJ stems from its values as an innovative, excellent teaching and learning environment grounded in the liberal arts,” she said in a prepared statement. “In addition, everyone that I met, including administrators, deans, chairs, faculty, staff, demonstrated a collaborative commitment to the student-focused teacher-scholar model, which is evidenced by many accolades about academic quality that TCNJ achieves. I wanted to be a member of this highly engaged community.”
Jervis was also interim dean of URI’s College of Business in 2015, and was an American Council on Education Fellow at Southern Connecticut State University during 2018-19. She has a doctorate from the University of Connecticut.
