Greg Maes, the former global chief operating officer for ABCorp, was named chief operating officer at CompoSecure LLC, the Somerset-based designer and manufacturer of premium financial cards announced on Wednesday.
Maes will report directly to Jon Wilk, CEO of CompoSecure, and will be responsible for the daily management of all company manufacturing, operations, engineering, quality and maintenance. He will also work on strategy and hiring with the senior leadership team.
“Our business has substantially increased in volume and complexity, and Greg brings the best management structure for the challenges ahead,” Wilk said. “Greg has spent half of his career outside the U.S. and built a strong network of customers and partners, which strengthens our international expansion. He is also committed to our company culture of inclusive teamwork, ensuring all team members thrive and operational outcomes are met and surpassed.”
Maes, who has 25 years of experience in card manufacturing, most recently led the EMV and Daul interface readiness efforts and group initiates at ABCorp. He also held operational roles at IDEMIA in Asia Pacific and Gemplus in Singapore and China.
