SITO Mobile inks Kauffman as interim CEO, replacing Pallack

SITO Mobile, a Jersey City-based mobile data technology company, announced on Thursday it has named Scott L. Kauffman as its new interim CEO, replacing Tom Pallack, who has resigned for personal reasons.

Kauffman, who is noted as a leader in internet media, consumer marketing and digital entertainment, has more than three decades of experience in corporate executive and board leadership with both private and public companies in transition.

“Scott is a critical addition to SITO’s executive management team at this key inflection point in our Company. His years of experience, operational acumen and discipline will be crucial to helping SITO stabilize our financial position and reestablish shareholder value. We look forward to benefiting from Scott’s proven expertise to configure the Company for future success,” Jon Bond, chairman, SITO Mobile, said.

Prior to SITO Mobile, Kauffman was the chairman and CEO of MDC Partners, a New York-based advertising agency holding company. Before that, he was recruited to Silicon Valley by Kleiner Perkins, running several early-stage venture-backed companies, including AdKnowledge, Coremetrics, MusicNow, Zinio and BlueLithium. He also served as vice president and general manager of online services for CompuServe.
