Nonprofit leases space in Hampton to house its operations

The Arc of Hunterdon County has leased a 22,000-square-foot office in Hampton, according to CBRE, which arranged the deal.

CBRE said on Tuesday the nonprofit social services organization will house its operations within the 277,000-square-foot property owned by Brooklyn-based Shelbourne Global Solutions.

CBRE’s John Goodwin negotiated the lease on behalf of the tenant, who plans to take over the space in April 2020.

“It was a pleasure working on behalf of this organization that has benefited Hunterdon County for 65 years,” Goodwin said. “We negotiated a strong economic deal for new office space within a great building that will accommodate the nonprofit’s expansion for years to come.“

The lease, CBRE said, involved a buyout of a part of an existing tenant’s lease as well as converting a portion of the cafeteria to create space for The Arc’s day programs, which will be separate from the rest of the building.

“The new space offers our agency an opportunity to grow within an inviting and wholesome environment. The individuals that we support will undoubtedly thrive in this new setting which offers a number of attractive amenities,” Jeff Mattison, executive director, The Arc, said.
