JLL secures Cresthill Academy expansion at The Shipyard in Hoboken

JLL announced on Wednesday it has completed a lease expansion for Cresthill Academy at the North Constitution apartment building within The Shipyard, a mixed-use residential and retail development project along the Hoboken waterfront.

The child care center signed 7,096 square feet at 1300 Frank Sinatra Drive North and will continue to occupy its original space at the adjacent 1330 Sinatra Drive North.

Ironstate Development’s Jesse Munoz, retail commercial manager, and JLL’s Blake Shanaphy, associate, represented the building owner, Ironstate Development. The tenant was represented in-house.

“Ironstate Development was able to provide Cresthill Academy with enough space to just about double its occupancy at The Shipyard,” Shanaphy said. “The larger premises space will allow the organization to offer a wider variety of products and services, and the contiguous space made this expansionary project very convenient for both tenant and landlord. Cresthill Academy is keeping the commercial grade kitchen that was part of McCloone’s Boathouse, the restaurant that previously occupied the new space. The childcare provider plans to provide healthy, precooked prepared meals for busy parents and children.”

The 13-story multifamily North Constitution has 170 luxury condominiums comprised of one-, two- and three-bedroom residences. Residents have access to a variety of amenities at The Shipyard, including a waterfront park, a fitness center, two rooftop pools, sun decks, children’s play areas and more.

Cresthill Academy currently has four other locations throughout North Jersey.
