Three giants in N.J. to be honored by ROI-NJ with inaugural Chairman Champions award

ROI-NJ announced Monday it will cap its inaugural Champions of the C-Suite event by honoring three of New Jersey’s most influential members of the business community with special Chairman Champions awards.

Tony Coscia, Jon Hanson and George Norcross will be honored Feb. 19 in Bridgewater.

The honorees (in alphabetical order):

Tony Coscia, Amtrak: Coscia, a partner with the law firm Windels Marx Lane & Mittendorf, is one of the most prominent players in the battle to get the desperately needed Gateway Tunnel project funded. As chairman of Amtrak, he is one of the most influential figures in the Northeast when it comes to transportation and infrastructure.

Jon F. Hanson, The Hampshire Cos.: Hanson, a member of the New Jersey Hall of Fame, is one of the state’s best-known figures in the real estate world — and beyond. Not only does he have the ear of every important member of his own industry, he is a trusted adviser to many of the state’s political power players.

George E. Norcross III, Cooper University Health Care: Norcross, one of the most powerful and influential people in the state, heads up South Jersey’s most prominent health system, Camden-based Cooper, and serves as executive chairman of prominent insurance brokerage Conner Strong & Buckelew.

“We are thrilled to be able to honor three giants in the state,” ROI-NJ Publisher Tom Hughes said. “Tony Coscia, Jon Hanson and George Norcross have impacted the state in too many ways to count. They are truly deserving of our first Chairman Champions awards.”
