Toorak Capital hires Venugopal as CTO to develop a new technology platform

Toorak Capital Partners, a Summit-based provider of capital for private real estate lenders, announced on Tuesday it is investing in a new technology platform and has hired Sachin Venugopal to develop it as chief technology officer.

The platform will improve Toorak’s customer experience for its network of lending partners, the company said in a news release.

“Toorak Capital Partners has always strived to provide the best possible service for our partner lenders. We are committed to take our customer service to the next level by investing in a new technology platform,” John Beacham, CEO of Toorak Capital Partners, said. “We’ve always felt that if it’s easy for our customers to work with us, our business will grow. This belief has proven true over the years and it is the reason we have hired a top-tier CTO, like Sachin Venugopal, to upgrade our technology platform.”

In this role, Venugopal, who has more than 20 years of experience in building digital platforms, will develop a technology platform to automate loan submissions, reviews and closing processes. He will also be tasked with improving overall operations and efficiency of the firm’s technology stack.

“Toorak is a data-focused capital provider which understands that technology and customer experience go hand in hand. Our goal is simple – make the loan process easy and efficient for our lenders. Toorak has been remarkably innovative in its approach and I’m incredibly excited to be part of an amazing team focused on further improving and streamlining the loan process for lenders,” Venugopal said.
