Atlantic Health System was named to Fortune’s “100 Best Companies to Work For” for the 12th consecutive year, it was announced Tuesday morning.
Atlantic Health was ranked No. 89 on the list.
CEO Brian Gragnolati said the honor is the result of systemwide collaboration and culture.
“Our 17,000 talented team members deliver extraordinary caring to all who enter our system,” he said. “The remarkable culture of our workplace encourages trust, collaboration and respect, which in turn drives patient satisfaction. Our 12th year of Fortune recognition reflects our longstanding commitment to encouraging diversity of thought, experience and perspective.”
Atlantic Health was one of two New Jersey companies honored. Novo Nordisk was the only other New Jersey company on the list, coming in at No. 74. It marked the 12th time the Plainsboro-based life sciences company made the list.
Nikki Sumpter, the chief human resources officer at Atlantic Health, said the honor showcases the system’s commitment to its team.
“Being on Fortune’s list of the 100 Best Companies to Work For sets us apart and showcases our commitment to caring for those who care for others,” she said. “We ask our team members to bring their authentic selves to work every day to strengthen our performance through their diversity and unique talents.
“It’s their camaraderie and joy of being in the Atlantic Health family that enables us to attract and retain the best workforce in health care.”
The Atlantic Health System is comprised of five medical centers, Goryeb Children’s Hospital, Atlantic Rehabilitation Institute, Atlantic Medical Group and one of the largest Accountable Care Organizations in the country.
Its flagship hospital, Morristown Medical Center, has been named the top hospital in the state the past two years.
