Italian restaurant in Montvale sold; will become second site for Uncle Louie’s

An Italian restaurant in Montvale has been sold, with plans to transform it into a second location for another eatery, according to real estate firm Bielat Santore & Co.

Momma’s Kitchen, located at 19 W. Grand Ave., will become another site of pizzeria restaurant Uncle Louie’s, according to David A. Alvarez, the Bielat Santore salesperson who handled the sale.

“It is bittersweet,” Momma’s owner Bobby Meidanis said in a prepared statement. “I will miss the employees and customers, but I am happy to see the restaurant become a new Italian concept.”

The building was sold earlier in 2019, which left the business available for purchase, the firm noted.

“I am excited to start serving the community of Montvale and Pascack Valley,” restaurateur David Brancato said in a statement. “Uncle Louie’s is a great complement to the community, offering a fresh approach to cooking and delicious pizza at affordable prices.”

Brancato, along with partners Aldo Nocera and Francisco Armando Ortega own the first Uncle Louie’s at 754 Franklin Ave., Franklin Lakes. No opening date for the second location was announced.
