Jersey City Medical Center opens new sleep disorder center

RWJBarnabas Health announced on Thursday it has opened a new center for sleep disorders at Jersey City Medical Center.

The Center for Sleep Disorders at Jersey City Medical Center, located at 410 Jersey Ave. and adjacent to the main hospital campus, will provide consultations, diagnostics and treatment services for Hudson County patients age 5 years and older, for all types of sleep disorders, including sleep apnea, restless leg syndrome and narcolepsy.

“If sleepiness interferes with work or other daytime activities, and if you’re an adult who gets less than seven hours of sleep a night despite going to go to bed on time, it’s a good idea to get a sleep evaluation,” Jyoti Matta, a  pulmonologist and medical director of the Center for Sleep Disorders at JCMC, said.
