Hudson County Community College and the Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday signed a memorandum of understanding to formalize the next steps in their partnership.
“The college recognizes the significant role that Latino entrepreneurs play in helping breathe new life into Hudson County’s commercial corridors and neighborhoods,” Dr. Chris Reber, HCCC president, said. “Our agreement with the Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey will further strengthen our community, and provide our students with opportunities to participate in chamber events held at the college and beyond that will assist them in expanding their professional networks, and succeeding in their careers.”
Under the agreement, the college will provide space for SHCCNJ programs and events. The chamber will also receive information about HCCC programs and degrees to share with its members.
“Our newly strengthened partnership with the Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey is truly a win-win-win, as it benefits HCCC students, Chamber members, and the entrepreneurs of our community,” Reber said.
