DesignPoint, a Clark-based growth advisor for engineers and manufacturers, announced on Wednesday it has acquired Alpha Additive Manufacturing Technologies, a Markforged reseller based in Lowell, Massachusetts.

“This acquisition represents an amazing opportunity to continue to expand our presence in New England and further our commitment to our Markforged partnership,” explained DesignPoint’s Partner Fran Lairdieson. “Alpha’s devotion to the success of its clients matches our own passion to ensure that More is Possible® for our customers, making them the ideal fit for our DesignPoint team.”

The deal will further enhance DesignPoint’s commitment to providing 3D printing solutions to businesses in the New England and Mid-Atlantic regions.

“We are proud to join forces with a company that shares our commitment to helping businesses improve the way they bring products to market,” said Alpha AMT President, Jim Mertes. “For over 20 years we’ve believed that making our customers successful was the most important thing. Little did we know that DesignPoint was inspired by that same belief system.”
