N.J. colleges land on U.S. News’ Best Graduate Schools list

U.S. News and Word Report released its 2021 Best Graduate Schools, a ranking of graduate programs in business, law, medicine and more.

At least one, if not more, New Jersey school ranked in the Top 100 in each of the six major graduate program areas.

Here are the program areas, the schools and their rankings:

Best Business Schools (477 in total)

56 (tie). Rutgers University, Newark and New Brunswick;
77 (tie). Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken;
99-131. New Jersey Institute of Technology, Newark.

Best Law Schools (198 in total)

62 (tie). Seton Hall University, Newark;
76 (tie). Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, New Brunswick.

Best Medical Schools: Research (188 in total)

70 (tie). Rutgers New Jersey Medical School-Newark;
74 (tie). Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School-New Brunswick;
94-122: Cooper Medical School of Rowan University, Camden;
94-122: Rowan University of Osteopathic Medicine, Stratford.

Best Nursing Schools: Master’s (578 schools)

17 (tie). Rutgers University, Newark;
62 (tie). Seton Hall University, South Orange;

U.S. News it ranks the program areas based on two types of data: expert opinions about program excellence and statistical indicators that measure the quality of a school’s faculty, research and students.
