The Provident Bank Foundation announces 2nd round of 2020 grant opportunities

The Provident Bank Foundation announced on Tuesday grant opportunities for the second round of 2020.

Last year, the Morristown-based philanthropic arm of Provident Bank said it awarded $1.3 million to nearly 140 organizations in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Letters of Intent will be made available on its website on April 1 for the second cycle of major grants between $5,000 and $25,000 to support organizations within three priority areas:

  1. Community enrichment: Programs that drive economic development, contribute to a community experience, serve those with special needs and provide access to information and culture.
  2. Education: Programming that expands access to, and improves the quality of, educational experiences through academic support and curriculum development.
  3. Health, youth and families: Programs that ensure everyone has the ability to live healthier, more fulfilling lives, including access to quality health care, nutrition and wellness, and mentorship opportunities.

“We are pleased to announce our second cycle of major grant opportunities, as we continue to help fund local organizations that are making a real difference with quality services, programs and care,” Samantha Plotino, associate executive dDirector of The Provident Bank Foundation, said. “Helping people remain happy, healthy and safe, the foundation is thrilled to support local organizations, so that they can continue to enrich and enhance local communities in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.”
