Holy Name Medical Center CEO Mike Maron announced Friday he has tested positive for coronavirus. According to a release from the medical center, Maron is recovering at home.
Maron figured prominently in this story about Holy Name and COVID-19 on ROI-NJ.com, which appeared last weekend and gave many in the state first look at seriousness of this crisis.
He said the following in the statement:
“Like so many in our area and in the health care field, I’ve tested positive for COVID-19,” he said. “I’m being monitored by Holy Name’s telemedicine program as I recover at home. I continue to work from home. Thanks to technology, I am in constant ‘virtual’ touch with Holy Name’s leadership team. As soon as I began developing symptoms, I self-quarantined and was tested.
“Now more than ever, I’m grateful for the tireless work of Holy Name’s health care professionals, who are on the front lines of this national pandemic. We are all in this together.”
