J&J Snack Foods appoints new president

J&J Snack Foods Corp. announced on Monday that Dan Fachner has been appointed president.

Fachner, who is the CEO and president of The ICEE Company, the wholly-owned frozen beverage subsidiary of J&J, will report directly to Gerald B. Shreiber, chairman of the board and CEO. He will remain in his role at The ICEE Co. in addition to his new one.

As president, Fachner will be responsible for the entire Pennsauken-based operation, with all business heads reporting to him.

“Throughout Dan’s long history at J&J Snack Foods, he has built a reputation for team building, leadership, communication, employee engagement and integrity” Shreiber said. “His transition will be seamless, and I am highly confident that his acumen and talent will continue to lead us forward.”

“I am truly honored to have the opportunity to help guide and grow a great organization like J&J Snack Foods. I look forward to working with the team in place to help shape and mold the future. I believe the best is still yet to come,” Fachner said.

The company also announced that Gerard Law has resigned as senior vice president, assistant to the president, effective May 1.
