Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey has been won a J.D. Power Award for highest member satisfaction among commercial health plans in the state, it announced Friday.
The award represents the third time in four years Newark-based Horizon has been so honored, it said in a news release.
Horizon had the highest ranking in the state for coverage and benefits, costs, provider choice and customer service, according to J.D. Power’s 2020 U.S. Commercial Member Health Plan Study.
“There is no greater achievement for a health insurer than to meet and even exceed our members’ expectations for coverage and service excellence,” Gary St. Hilaire, Horizon’s CEO and president, said in a prepared statement. “With diligence and commitment, every individual on the Horizon team strives to deliver on our promise to help our members achieve their best health.”
Horizon also had the state’s top score in the J.D. Power rankings for 2017 and 2018.
