Larken Associates, a real estate firm based in Branchburg, announced on Tuesday it has broken ground on The Hillsborough Village Center, a mixed-use development in Hillsborough.
The center, which will be located at 650 U.S. Highway 206, will have nine multifamily buildings comprised of 191 one-, two- and three-bedroom elevator and duplex garage apartments, and three mixed-use buildings with 28,000 square feet of ground-level retail.
Slated for occupancy in mid-2021, Larken said the project will create a retail and residential hub in the township’s business district.

Homes will come in a variety of floorplans and each will have in-unit laundry, modern fixtures, a private garage and on-site storage. Additional amenities include a two-story clubhouse with a business center, game room and theater; an outdoor heated pool and spa; a gym and fitness center; playground; dog park and pet salon; and secure mailroom with a package concierge system.
