The lease is located within the Wayne Solar Center at 1655 Valley Road, a Class A, four-story, 156,951-square-foot office building. The building boasts panoramic views and a grand lobby atrium, plus amenities such as a cafeteria, underground parking and on-site property management and ownership.
NAI Hanson’s Joshua Levering represented the tenant in the deal with Cranford-based Signature Acquisitions, the landlord.
Levering said: “The landlord, Signature Associates was very attentive to the unique needs of United Yarn and we were pleased to help secure a situation that is ideally suited to serve as their new home for many years to come. The tenant’s plan was simply to create a modern headquarters for their office and administrative operations. Wayne Solar Center was the perfect fit.”
The property is partially powered by a 700-space solar panel carport, NAI Hanson said.
“United Yarn, founded in 1930 is a global yarn distributor that sources and sells various yarns products throughout the world to the home furnishings, apparel and industrial markets. Previously located in Paterson, N.J., United Yarn was searching for a modern, amenitized space that would support its operations and serve as a convenient location for its employees,” Levering said.
