A New Jersey-based manufacturer of silicon carbide power semiconductors has leased an office space in Princeton, according to Cushman & Wakefield.
Monmouth Junction-based United Silicon Carbine, the commercial real estate firm said, took up 11,200 square feet on the first floor of 650 College Road East. The property is located within Princeton University‘s 2,000-acre master-planned business and research campus.
C&W’s leasing team of Todd Elfand, Kevin Carton, Paul Giannone and Joe Vacca, based at the firm’s Iselin office, represented the landlord, Nuveen Real Estate, in brokering the deal. Jones Lang LaSalle‘s John Buckley and Jon Compitello represented the tenant.
“UnitedSiC was looking for space with a Class A environment and easy access to major highways,” Elfand said. “The property’s picturesque setting and upgraded amenities, coupled with Nuveen’s ability to complete the transaction during the COVID-19 pandemic, made 650 College Road East a great option.”
Nuveen will be repositioning the 168,000-square-foot property by updating its common areas and amenities. The site offers a 60-foot class atrium and outdoor courtyard with seating and a private patio, as well as a cafe and a conference facility in its sister building. It is within close access to Route 1 and downtown Princeton.
C&W said it will market the remaining 58,121 square feet at the property.
