Crafts provider Horizon Group names Hsu as CEO

Horizon Group USA, a Warren-based provider of crafts and craft activity kits, announced on Tuesday it has named Janet Hsu as CEO.

Currently, Hsu is the chief franchise management officer at Mattel Inc., overseeing partnerships, consumer products, franchise management, entertainment, digital gaming, content distribution and business development. Hsu previously served as the CEO of Saban Brands during its divestiture of Power Rangers to Hasbro. She also was the present and chief operating officer at Sanrio Inc., home of the Hello Kitty brand.

Janet is a seasoned chief executive whose vision for Horizon’s future aligns with ours and puts us in the best position to build upon our last 15 years of rapid and organic growth. In her role as CEO of Horizon Group, Hsu will focus on global strategic partnerships, mergers and acquisitions, commerce expansion, licensing, and digital integrations.
