Movado Group announces organizational changes to accelerate its digital transformation

Movado Group Inc., a Paramus-based watchmaker, said on Tuesday it has made some organizational changes to enhance its digital transformation.

Behzad Soltani, the current president, director to consumer and chief digital officer, has been promoted to executive vice president, commercial president and chief technology officer, effective immediately. He’s been with the company since 2018, starting out as a chief digital officer, and helped create the Digital Center of Excellence. In his new role, he will be responsible for Movado’s global wholesale business, Movado Company Stores, e-commerce, and the Digital Center of Excellence and Global Information Technology.

Movado also said Sallie DeMarsilis, chief financial officer, was promoted to executive vice president, chief operating officer and chief franchise officer. In this role, she will have responsibility for finance and accounting, value chain, distribution, and business controls. She joined Movado in 2008 as senior vice president and chief financial officer.

The pair will report directly to Efraim Grinberg, chairman and CEO.

“We are excited to announce the promotion of both Behzad and Sallie, who have been outstanding members of our executive team and have proven track records of success and strong leadership skills. This new management structure will support the unification of our distribution channels in our ongoing focus on putting consumers first and allowing them to connect with our great brands, designs and platforms wherever and whenever they choose to shop,” Grinberg said.
