Trenton Downtown Association launches grant for businesses in its district

The Trenton Downtown Association announced on Wednesday it has launched a grant to provide immediate financial assistance to businesses in its district.

The TDA Community Business Grant, worth $3,000, will be awarded to businesses with 50 or less based on documentation that their business needs to restart or fix its operations.

“This is a one-time growth grant designed to quickly infuse much-needed funding into our district’s small businesses,”Tom Gilmour, TDA executive director, said. “They are the heart and soul of this community and have done an amazing job coming together for the common good.”

The nonprofit said only businesses located in the TDA SID Zone that own or lease the property are eligible. Applications will be reviewed by an independent committee. The deadline is June 30.

“As we shift our focus to reopening, we cannot forget that many of our small businesses cannot come back without our support. That is our more urgent priority at TDA,” Gilmour said.
