Colliers International announced on Monday it has arranged the sale of Freehold Mall, a 220,000-square-foot retail complex at 3651-3691 Route 9 in Freehold Township.
Colliers’ Jacklene Chesler, executive managing director, along with Matthew Brown, Patrick Norris and Frank Summers, completed the deal despite COVID-19 related challenges, Colliers said.
“Freehold Mall is a unique investment opportunity located in one of the premier commercial areas in the region,” said Chesler. “The sale of the property speaks to the strength and resilience of the New Jersey market. We’re pleased that our team was able to leverage its deep knowledge of the landscape to successfully close the deal on behalf of our client.”
The property is comprised of four buildings, including two standalone buildings and 1,205 parking spots. It is home to 11 tenants and a handful of national retailers as well as an urgent care, optometrist, bagel shop and nail salon.
The mall is located along Route 9 and is within close access to the New Jersey Turnpike, the Garden State Parkway, routes 33 and 18, and Interstate 295. Within a mile of the mall there are other shopping centers, dining establishments and gas stations. There is also an NJ Transit bus stop directly in front.
