Benjamin Ross Group sells Asbury Park-based manufacturing company

Benjamin Ross Group, a Princeton-based mergers and acquisitions brokerage firm, announced on Thursday it has recently sold Universal Filters, a manufacturing company based in Asbury Park, to a private investor.

Established in 1982, Universal Filters is a B2B manufacturing company that specializes in standard and custom replacement liquid filter bags. These bags remove contaminants and are often used in filtration and water systems.

“You promised to introduce me to a continuing stream of qualified buyers, and you did so without hesitation. The fact that you understood my concerns were not just financial, but also related to leaving the company in the hands of someone looking to retain existing employees, made it easier for me. It was clear that you were going to be as honest with a prospective buyer as you were with me, and I respected and appreciated your approach,” Jerry Kolton, former owner of Universal Filters, said.

Financial and other terms were not disclosed.
