Newark Beth Israel names Coleman chief HR officer

    Newark Beth Israel Medical Center announced on Thursday it has named Beverly Coleman its new vice president and chief human resources officer.

    The Newark-based health system said Coleman, who has more than 20 years of experience in human resources, business operations and sales and logistics, previously served as the executive director and chief human resources officer at Trinity Health of New England. Before that, she was the vice president of human resources at Community Health Care Inc., vice president of administration at Hartford Healthcare and director of human resources at Norton Healthcare. Outside of health, she held various leadership roles at Sara Lee and American Commercial Lines.

    “Beverly Coleman brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to her position that will be invaluable to us as we continue on our journey towards becoming a high reliability organization, focused on safety, quality and delivering an excellent experience to our patients and their families,” Darrell K. Terry, Sr., CEO and president of Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and Children’s Hospital of New Jersey, said.

    Coleman specializes in talent acquisition, talent management, total rewards, workforce management, recognition, mergers and acquisitions, and process improvement.
