Show & Tell: Rowan University’s decision to cut tuition and fees

    He talked about the college’s decision to cut tuition and fees by nearly $1,500 for the 2020-21 academic year, representing a 10% break for in-state students.

    Amid the financial distress of the pandemic, many of our students and their families are facing significant hardship. The university was able to provide this added support through broad cost-reduction initiatives, but, more importantly, people rethinking how we best serve our students, taking on more responsibility and, frankly, doing even more with even less. … Taking action continuously to make high-quality higher education more accessible and affordable isn’t always easy, but it is the right thing to do. We hope that our actions to reduce costs now will help our students and their families even more.”
