Onyx promotes Pappas to SVP of property management & construction

Woodbridge-based Onyx Equities announced on Tuesday it has named Kristen Pappas to senior vice president of its new Property Management & Construction Department.

The appointment comes as part of an aggressive expansion of the firm’s construction department.

“Kristen has been an invaluable asset to Onyx, enabling us to expand our portfolio and our construction and management teams,” John Saraceno, Jr. managing principal of Onyx Equities, said. “Her ability to respond to our tenants’ needs during the unprecedented circumstances of a global pandemic with grace and professionalism indicates a level of leadership that will allow us to continue to provide a superior office product to tenants in the NYC-Metro area.”

Pappas joined Onyx in July 2019 as vice president of property management & operations and was part of the creation and execution of the company’s COVID-19 office repopulation plan. In her new role, she will build upon her previous responsibilities in addition to overseeing all capital improvement and base building upgrade projects.

“We own and operate commercial properties throughout the metro NY area and Kristen gives us the best in class operational expertise to further our intention to make sure the Onyx tenant experience has no equal in our marketplace,” said John Saraceno, Jr. Managing Principal of Onyx Equities. “We purchased 1.5 million square feet in the last 12 months, necessitating our need to advance Onyx’s management and construction functions.”
