Inspira Health gets $10K grant from South Jersey COVID-19 Response Fund

Inspira Health announced on Wednesday it has received a $10,000 award from the Community Foundation of South Jersey’s South Jersey COVID-19 Response Fund.

“We are so proud to provide Inspira Health with a grant from the COVID-19 Response Fund,” Andy Fraizer, executive director of the Community Foundation of South Jersey, said. “The heroes at Inspira have done so much for our community, and this grant is only a small token of our appreciation for their dedication to defeating this virus.”

The grant will allow Inspira to fund emergency assistance and recruit and hire more staff through its Human Resources Department. Most recently, it was used  to recruit an additional 62 staff members to care for the high volume of COVID-19 patients during the height of the pandemic, including nurses aids, lab assistants and respiratory staff.

“We are very thankful to the Community Foundation of South Jersey for the grant they awarded our health network as part of the COVID-19 Response Fund,” Nick Sena, director of development of Inspira Health Foundation, said. “The funding helped us make the necessary additions to our staff to keep our community safe as we responded to the effects of the virus.”

To date, the fund has raised over $1 million in donations. To support the fund, click here.
