Cognizant announced on Monday that it has relocated its headquarters to another office at Teaneck-based Glenpointe, a premier corporate destination in North Jersey owned and managed by Alfred Sanzari Enterprises.
The IT services company said it will be moving its global headquarters from Glenpointe Center West to 36,000 square feet at Glenpointe Center East.
Savills‘ Gregg Najarian, executive vice president, Rutherford branch manager, and Integrated Consulting Strategies’ Nate Brzozowski, corporate managing director, represented Cognizant in the deal.
Cognizant has been at Glenpointe since 1997 when it negotiated a sublease for 7,500 square feet. Since that time, the company has grown into a Fortune 200 company with 292,500 employees. As Cognizant’s business evolved, so did it’s need for more office space, and the team at Sanzari was able to negotiate a deal for it to remain at the campus in a better-suited space.
“We know that the northern New Jersey market presents companies with a wide range of space options,” Jerry Barta, vice president and director of leasing and marketing for Alfred Sanzari Enterprises, said. “However, our long-standing relationship with Cognizant enabled us to find a solution that would allow them to keep their headquarters at Glenpointe and continue to take advantage of the property’s amenities, location, and flexibility, which truly stand out in the local office market. We look forward to further building upon our deep relationship with Cognizant and working with them to meet their space needs as their business continues to evolve.”
Glenpointe, located only miles from New York City, is within close access to the Garden State Parkway, the Palisades Interstate Parkway and routes 4 and 46. The campus includes a 26,000-square-foot spa and fitness center, a cafeteria, a restaurant, a wine bar, a lounge, covered parking, security and a variety of other services. In addition to office and amenity spaces, it also has a 700-room hotel.
