N.J. medical equipment services firm is acquired by national company

A New Jersey-based medical equipment services firm has been acquired by medical device provider US Med-Equip, the Houston-based company announced Thursday.

Martab Equipment Management Services, based in Allendale, supports hundreds of hospitals from seven regional branches in the Garden State, New York, Pennsylvania and beyond.

“We’re proud to join the Med-Equip family — one that shares our mission to do whatever it takes to help hospitals give their patients the best care possible,” Anthony Marmo, MEMS’ owner and CEO, said in a prepared statement.

US Med-Equip provides hospitals with respiratory, neonatal and other devices, partnering on the rental, sales, service and asset management of the equipment.

“We’re excited to welcome MEMS’ dedicated team, which has extensive experience supporting Northeast hospitals working under extraordinary demands,” USME President Ed Gay said in a statement. “Together, we will help more health care providers and the purchasing organizations that support them in taking care of patients in need.”

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
