Barnegat 55+ community continues leasing surge

Phase 2 of the Barnegat 67 Town Center luxury rental development in Barnegat is ready for occupancy and already 30% preleased, according to the New York-based developer, Extell Development Co.

The property, on 13 acres, offers residents for ages 55-plus, as well as retail space and more.

RWJBarnabas Health’s Community Medical Center has signed a lease to develop and operate a 12,000-square-foot ambulatory care center within the complex, Extell said this week in a news release.

“We are pleased to officially welcome our newest residents to Barnegat 67,” Moshe Botnick, Extell vice president, said in a prepared statement. “Barnegat offers residents a luxurious, hassle-free lifestyle in a vibrant complex that can cater to their every need. We are also excited about the many new retail tenants who have joined our development.”

The four-story Barnegat 67, which had a successful Phase 1, according to Extell, includes 100,000 square feet of retail space featuring dining and shopping options, as well as health and fitness tenants. It also offers 20,000 square feet of amenities for residents.

Apartments range in size from one to two bedrooms. Prices start at $1,345 a month.
