Mazars USA LLP has made a number of leadership changes as part of an ongoing expansion and business plan, it announced this week.
The accounting and consulting firm, which is based in New York but has a major presence in New Jersey, said the moves include naming:
- Jason Pourakis leader of its Accounting and Advisory Service Line;
- Jonah Gruda leader of its Private Client Services Practice, succeeding Lisa Osofsky;
- Carlos Martins leader of its Real Estate Practice, succeeding Shahab Moreh.
Osofsky and Moreh will continue in leadership roles at Mazars, including serving on the executive board, the firm noted.
“We are committed to providing leadership that achieves our people, business and growth goals,” Chairman and CEO Victor Wahba said in a prepared statement. “Jason, Jonah and Carlos have expansive knowledge and experience in their respective areas and are well-positioned to lead these teams and practices.
“I’m looking forward to working with this excellent team of leaders as they continue to grow these practices, adapt to the needs of the market and provide top-quality service to our clients.”
All three new leaders are veteran advisers, Mazars said. Pourakis has 20 years of experience with a wide range of businesses, mainly in manufacturing and distribution; Gruda has 18 years of experience working with a diverse group of high net worth individuals; and Martins has more than 15 years of experience working with domestic and international companies in the real estate sector.
