PDI, a Woodcliff Lake-based infection prevention solutions company, has named a new head of research & development, it announced this week.
The company said veteran executive Michael Yang will be its senior vice president of R&D, leading a growing R&D organization focused on solutions for critical needs including health care, food safety and public health.
“Michael brings a deep orientation to customer-inspired innovation and customer-valued technology solutions,” Kent Davies, PDI’s president and chief operating officer, said in a prepared statement. “… We are proud to strengthen PDI’s R&D expertise with Michael’s vast experience leading corporate technology strategy and new product portfolio development as we advance our growth strategy and rapidly respond to meet our customers’ evolving needs.”
Yang has held R&D leadership roles with companies including Cardiovascular Systems, Johnson & Johnson and Abbott Labs/St. Jude Medical. Most recently, he was a vice president with Integra Life Sciences.
