Chubb, the Whitehouse Station-based property and casualty insurer, has made some leadership changes in its North American operations, it announced this week.
Jeffrey Updyke, the chief operating officer for North American field operations, has been named head of Chubb’s North America small business segment. He will be succeeded as field operations COO by Robert Poliseno, the regional executive officer for the Mid-Atlantic region. Poliseno will be succeeded in that role by Melissa Scheffler, the COO for the region.
In his new role, Poliseno will oversee delivery of Chubb’s full portfolio of products to agent and broker partners through 48 North American branch offices. He will also assist in the day-to-day management of North American field operations, focused on distribution and marketing, among other job duties.
Scheffler will take over for Poliseno in leading local delivery of Chubb’s offerings in seven areas, including southern New Jersey.
Poliseno and Scheffler will report to Chris Maleno, senior vice president, Chubb Group, and division president, North America Field Operations.
“Robert and Melissa are outstanding executives and top performers within our company,” he said in a statement. “Both have long tenures at Chubb, as well as extensive experience in leading our local distribution strategies. I am confident they will continue to further the success we have had to date, as they take on these critical roles.”
