Little Falls-based Cantel Medical Corp. has hired a new chief technology officer, it announced this week.

The infection prevention company said in a news release that Michael Drexel would be senior vice president and CTO, reporting to CEO George Fotiades. In his new role, Drexel will drive the overall vision for the company’s research & development function, including projects related to research and the development of new products, as well as assume leadership of the global R&D team.

“We are excited to welcome Michael to Cantel,” Fotiades said in a prepared statement. “He has a proven track record of successfully leading technology teams in the drive for continuous improvement in product development through to product launch.”
