Hackettstown-based Centenary University announced on Tuesday it will launch a new Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science next fall.
The degree will set up students for careers in the clinical, corporate and community-based exercise and wellness industries by providing them with in-depth knowledge of physiology, exercise and human performance.
“This is an exciting time at Centenary,” Dr. Craig Fuller, director of the university’s medical lab science program and a faculty member in health sciences, said. “We are expanding into health and diagnostic testing — two areas that are critical to the well-being of our society. This is a great opportunity for our students to build careers in these growing fields.”
In addition, the program will ensure graduates complete the minimum prerequisites for most advanced degree programs in physical therapy and athletic training. For more information, click here.
