Crest Pointe Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center announced on Tuesday it celebrated the groundbreaking for a 3,000-square-foot building expansion to house a new therapy gym.
The expansion is part of a multimillion-dollar renovation and specialty programming initiative for the Point Pleasant-based skilled nursing facility.
“Crest Pointe’s renovation is bringing it to the next level, making it one of the best along the Jersey Shore,” Point Pleasant Bourough Mayor Robert Sabosik said at the ceremony. “Crest Pointe has a reputation for quality patient care and staff retention, and is exactly the type of company we want investing in our community and taking care of our elderly.”
The new gym will feature state-of-the-art equipment, including a smart car for rehabilitation simulations. Crest Pointe, which is working with Brick-based Marquis Health Services on the project, said the dining area and residents rooms have already been renovated.
“We thank our many community leaders for joining in this special event,” Crest Pointe’s Loretta Shopene, director of community relations, said. “At Crest Pointe, we remain focused on creating a center for skilled nursing and healthcare excellence, and are thrilled to take this next step in expanding our facility with a new rehab gym.”
