Leasing is underway at a new mixed-use development in downtown Newark, according to real estate investment firm Paramount Assets.
The firm said its Clinton Flats project has transformed two historic commercial buildings into a mix of luxury multifamily rentals and street-level retail.
The buildings are located at 30 and 40 Clinton St., at the corner of Clinton and Mulberry streets. The eight-story, 18,800-square-foot 40 Clinton will feature 27 one-bedroom apartments, while the six-story, 13,800-square-foot 30 Clinton will feature 20 studio and one-bedroom units.
“With leasing underway at 30 Clinton and construction nearing completion at 40 Clinton, we are excited to see the neighborhood coming to life,” Richard Dunn, senior vice president with the Newark-based developer, said in a prepared statement. “Clinton Flats demonstrates our expertise in preserving the original beauty and character of historic buildings while infusing them with the amenities and conveniences that savvy renters demand.”
Amenities include a fitness center, lounge and security, and 30 Clinton has a rooftop terrace.
Both buildings include street-level retail, with the U.S. Postal Service occupying 2,500 square feet of commercial space at 40 Clinton.
